On the outside, I’m a pretty typical Southern Californian stuck in a New Yorker’s body (I guess that’s not very typical).  I moved to New York after I graduated over 8 years ago (which now lets me call myself an official New Yorker).

I work in advertising (and I can assure that it’s nothing like Mad Men).  But I also have a certificate from the French Culinary Institute (now known as the International Culinary Center).  I’ve also externed at a New York City restaurant at the helm of Top Chef Angelo Sosa (where I learned the inner workings of both the back of the house and the front of the house).

I’ve done some crazy things for good food (like a foodventure to Atlanta just to dine at Top Chef restaurants… shout outs to Richard Blais and  Kevin Gillespie).  I have an autograph book dedicated to chefs (but I’m always really shy to ask for their John Hancock).

Rose Ahn Food is a compilation of stories chronicling my ever-evolving love for food. But I'd also love to hear from you. You can email me roseahnfood {at} gmail.com, tweet me at @RoseAhnFood, or like my page on Facebook.
